Annapolis Tango is hosting a milonga this Friday night at City Dock (2nd Friday of every month, May through September, weather permitting.) I met the founder, Julie McCormick, through our business, and have been meaning to attend.

The demo starts at 7pm and you don't need to come with a partner. Linoleum is laid out as a makeshift dance floor under the stars.

I've visited Buenos Aires but I've never attempted the tango before. I'm going to have to give it a shot on Friday!

My good friend and talented local artist, Kim Hovell, is hosting a Sip and Paint at Maryland Hall tomorrow, July 7. It's sold out at this point (they always sell out!), but check back because Kim hosts them periodically.

Here., a pop-up shop, is open this Friday, July 8 through Sunday, July 17, in the Rising Tide Society space (209 West Street.) Their opening party is from 6-8pm on Friday but they are open all day throughout the duration of the event.

Here. features the work of local artists, and Rising Tide Society is an Annapolis-based (but now global!) community for creatives. The founders are all very active in Annapolis so go and support!

Next Wednesday (July 13) is the first Dinner Under the Stars on West Street. Twinkle lights will be strung above and tables from all the restaurants on the first block (by Church Circle) will be moved out onto the street.

This area will be closed off to traffic and the event will run from 6pm to 10pm for 12 consecutive Wednesdays.

Sailor Oyster Bar is opening on West Street soon! One of the owners, Gabrielle, has a beautiful jewelry store named Sparrow right next door (198 West Street.)

They own a few other local restaurants (Tsunami, Metropolitan, Lemongrass) so I'm excited to support their next venture.
